Third-Party FAT for Pressure Reducing Valves for Kedah Glove Factory

How We Completed Third-Party FAT for Pressure Reducing Valves in Kedah

On 1 June 2021, we successfully completed a third-party Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) for Valtech VTE Pilot-Operated Hydraulic Control Pressure Reducing Valves before delivery to a new glove manufacturing factory in Kedah, Malaysia.

At Val Technology & Engineering, we support industrial customers with valve supply, technical testing and pressure control solutions. This project involved shell/body leak testing and pressure setting to verify the valves against project requirements before delivery.

1. Our Pressure Reducing Valve FAT Project in Kedah

For this project, we prepared and tested pilot-operated hydraulic control pressure reducing valves intended for a new glove manufacturing factory.

Project Stage

Before Delivery

The FAT focused on checking valve body integrity and completing the required pressure settings before the equipment was delivered.

2. What We Checked During Factory Acceptance Testing

Our testing work covered two main areas.

Shell / Body Leak Test

We conducted shell/body leak testing to check the integrity of the valve body under the specified test conditions.

The purpose was to verify that the valve body met the applicable leakage requirements before delivery.

Pressure Setting

We carried out pressure setting work on the pilot-operated hydraulic control pressure reducing valves.

During this process, our team:

Valve Adjustment

Adjusted the relevant valve components.

Testing Arrangement

Connected the valves to the testing arrangement.

Pressure Observation

Observed pressure gauges during testing.

Pressure Verification

Checked the pressure settings against project requirements.

Both testing activities successfully passed the third-party FAT.

3. Watch Our Pressure Reducing Valve Testing Process

Our project video shows the actual testing and adjustment work for the pressure reducing valves prepared for the glove manufacturing factory in Kedah.

What You Can See in Our Video

4. Why Factory Acceptance Testing Matters Before Delivery

Factory Acceptance Testing helps identify potential equipment issues before valves are delivered to an industrial facility.

For pressure reducing valves, two areas are particularly important:

Valve Body Integrity

Checking the valve body for leakage under the specified test conditions.

Pressure Control Settings

Verifying that the valve has been adjusted according to the project's pressure requirements.

By completing these checks before delivery, we help customers receive equipment that has undergone the agreed testing procedures.

Our Kedah project demonstrates our practical experience with industrial valve testing, adjustment and pre-delivery preparation.

Frequently Asked Questions

A Factory Acceptance Test is a pre-delivery inspection and testing process used to verify whether industrial equipment meets specified requirements. The testing scope depends on the valve type and project specifications.

We completed two confirmed testing activities: shell/body leak testing and pressure setting for Valtech VTE Pilot-Operated Hydraulic Control Pressure Reducing Valves.

Yes. Our project record confirms that the valves successfully passed the third-party Factory Acceptance Test on 1 June 2021, before delivery to the glove manufacturing factory.

Pressure setting helps prepare the valve to regulate downstream pressure according to the intended operating requirements. The appropriate setting depends on the application and specified pressure conditions.

Yes. At Val Technology & Engineering, we support industrial customers with valve selection, technical consultation and suitable pressure control equipment based on their application requirements.

Conclusion

At Val Technology & Engineering, we support industrial customers through practical valve testing and engineering experience. Our successful third-party FAT project in Kedah demonstrates our involvement in shell/body leak testing and pressure setting before industrial valve delivery.
