PT23 and PT23L Horizontal Inverted Bucket Steam Traps

The PT23 and PT23L Inverted Bucket Steam Traps are designed for draining equipment operating with medium to heavy condensate loads. Both models feature a durable cast iron body, stainless steel internal components and an integral strainer that helps prevent pipeline debris from entering the operating mechanism. Their horizontal configuration and screwed connection options make them suitable for integration into a variety of industrial steam and condensate systems.

These steam traps operate using the density difference between steam and water. As condensate accumulates, the inverted bucket mechanism produces a cyclic, intermittent discharge. This operating principle enables the trap to handle substantial condensate volumes, including at relatively low pressures. The valve and valve seat are induction hardened to support reliable performance during continuous, prolonged operation.
