PT40 Bimetallic Thermostatic Steam Trap with Inbuilt Strainer

The PT40 Bimetallic Thermostatic Steam Trap is engineered for reliable condensate drainage across demanding industrial steam and heating applications. It uses a protected stainless steel bimetallic column that responds to temperature changes and provides modulating condensate discharge. With its forged steel body, stainless steel internal components and integrated strainer, the PT40 offers a durable configuration suitable for steam tracer lines, header drip legs, heating coils and various process heating systems.

The protected bimetallic element provides good resistance to corrosion, while the built-in check valve acts as a backflow preventer. Its adjustable sub-cooling temperature gives operators greater flexibility when matching the steam trap to specific process requirements. The PT40 is suitable for both saturated and superheated steam applications and is designed to withstand challenging conditions, including exposure to water hammer.
