At Val Technology & Engineering, we believe industrial equipment quality should be supported by proper testing, relevant certifications, technical knowledge and practical project experience.
Since 1995, we have supplied industrial valves, steam equipment, flow control products and engineering solutions from our base in Butterworth, Penang. We focus on meeting applicable product requirements while helping customers select equipment suitable for their industrial applications.

Third-Party Product Testing, Inspection & Certification
We understand that industrial customers need confidence in the quality and compliance of the equipment they purchase. That is why all products we sell undergo relevant testing, and we do not supply products that have not met their applicable testing and certification requirements.
Our Product Testing Arrangements
Depending on the product and customer project requirements, we arrange:
Independent inspection organisations attend and witness Factory Acceptance Testing according to the agreed project requirements.
Products are submitted to external laboratories for relevant testing, performance assessments or certification procedures.
Applicable test reports, certificates and supporting records are identified according to the product and its intended application.
Our testing and inspection arrangements may involve organisations such as SGS, Bureau Veritas, TÜV and SIRIM, depending on the required scope. Certain products may also be subject to SPAN-related regulatory requirements or Safety Integrity Level (SIL) assessments where applicable.
How Customers Can Check Product Certifications
Different industrial products have different technical specifications, testing procedures and certification requirements. Not every product requires the same approvals or both laboratory testing and third-party witnessed FAT.

CIDB G5 Contractor Registration
We hold a G5 contractor registration with the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) Malaysia.

William Kang — Second-Generation Leadership
Kang Wi Liam, also known as William Kang, is part of our second-generation leadership. He plays an active role in our daily operations, business management and brand development.
His engineering background and professional development activities complement his operational responsibilities and contribute to the continued development of our business.
Board of Engineers Malaysia — Graduate Engineer Registration
William Kang holds a Graduate Engineer registration in Chemical Engineering with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM), approved on 18 September 2025.
His registration provides evidence of his individual engineering qualification. It is a Graduate Engineer registration, not a Professional Engineer qualification.
SIRIM Academy — Measurement & Calibration System Training
William Kang attended the Measurement & Calibration System training programme conducted by SIRIM Academy on 3–4 June 2026.
The training covers an area relevant to industrial engineering applications, particularly:
Measurement practices and system understanding
Calibration-related technical knowledge
Awareness of measurement reliability in equipment applications
This certificate documents his training attendance rather than company-wide SIRIM certification.
National Engineering Convention 2026
William Kang participated in the National Engineering Convention 2026, organised by the Board of Engineers Malaysia, from 17–20 August 2026.
